GAINESVILLE, Ga. — Hall County firefighters knocked down a house fire at 6059 Cane Crossing Drive, off Poplar Springs Church Road in South Hall, but not before the heat knocked down one of their own.

Cagle said that firefighters had the fire under control about 45 minutes after they responded to the 4 p.m. call.
