Texas strip mall evacuated after suspected carbon monoxide leak

An East Side strip mall was evacuated shortly before noon Thursday because of what fire department investigators say was a carbon monoxide leak.

Students and employees of a driving school located in the strip mall, in the 1600 block of Zaragoza, reported feeling ill and called the fire department.
 
Several people were treated at the scene. A shelter was set up at a nearby high school while the leak was investigated. A nearby daycare center was also evacuated as a precaution.
