Other 911 calls preceded Md. carbon monoxide deaths

OCEAN CITY, Md. — At least two opportunities to identify danger and potentially save the lives of two carbon monoxide poisoning victims were missed by town emergency crews and Atlantic General Hospital.

When Yvonne Boughter, 36, of Lebanon, Pa., called 911 at 1:56 p.m. last Tuesday after she was aroused by her screaming 7-year-old daughter, Morgan, it wasn't the first time Boughter had called for help with the developing emergency.

Boughter told The Patriot News in Harrisburg, Pa., that after she got sick at 1 a.m. Tuesday along with her daughter Kelly, 10, and her husband, Patrick, 40 — both of whom would later be found dead in their motel room — she called 911, realizing something was wrong.
