Carbon Monoxide leak sickens workers in Iowa

WHO-TV

DES MOINES, Iowa — Iowa Officials say a carbon monoxide leak sent eleven workers at a West Des Moines company to the hospital yesterday.

Hank Evans is the owner of A-F Johnson Millwork. He says several employees started to feel ill, so the plant manager called 9-1-1.

Firefighters determined that the level of carbon monoxide in the plant was four times higher than the amount that is considered safe.
