Emergency responders need rehabilitation to remain safe and healthy during an incident response, and DQE developed its 37°C rehab products for that purpose.
Sustaining a core body temperature of 37 degrees Celsius (98.6 degrees Fahrenheit) while working in challenging environments is essential to staying safe, healthy and productive, according to the company. Demanding conditions add stress on the heart that can lead to heart damage or sudden death if proper precautions such as rest and hydration are not taken.
DQE said its 37°C Rehab products support the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 1584 rehabilitation standard to make it easier to maintain high activity levels while ensuring safety.
The company offers five packages:
• The Rehab Shelter Package with shelter, chairs and supplies for rest, recovery and relief from the elements.
• The Core Cooling Package with misting products, cooling chairs, towels and T-shirts.
• The Core Warming Package with heater, blankets and change-out clothing to warm up quickly.
• The Hygiene Package with a toilet system, privacy screens and cleaning supplies.
• The Complete Rehab Solution Package, which has all four rehabilitation packages combined.
DQE, Inc., headquartered in Indianapolis, Ind., provides products and support for the safety and readiness of the response and healthcare community.
